<div dir="ltr">Hi Doug,<div><br></div><div>I'll be taking my inflatable too. But I thought I should mention where I got the outboard for it. There's a place in Canada that does fishing summer camps, and sells all their outboards after each season. I got a fish camp Mercury 25, and was very happy - it was in all but new condition. The lightest outboards are the Tohatsu and the Mercury. The latter is actually made by Tohatsu. Here is the dealer in the US that handles the fish camp sales:</div><div><br></div><div><a href="https://www.smalloutboards.com">https://www.smalloutboards.com</a><br></div><div><br></div><div>Best,</div><div>Alec</div><div><br></div><div><br></div></div><br><div class="gmail_quote"><div dir="ltr" class="gmail_attr">On Mon, Oct 25, 2021 at 11:11 PM Douglas Suhr via Personal_Submersibles <<a href="mailto:personal_submersibles@psubs.org">personal_submersibles@psubs.org</a>> wrote:<br></div><blockquote class="gmail_quote" style="margin:0px 0px 0px 0.8ex;border-left:1px solid rgb(204,204,204);padding-left:1ex"><div dir="ltr">Well friends, it would seem that perhaps I spoke too soon when I offered the services of the new Zodiac at next year's event in Michigan. The boat itself is actually inbound this week via truck freight. It had no delays at port because coming in from Europe, it entered the country on the Atlantic side and avoided the major snafu currently plaguing our Pacific coast ports. But I've run into a snag with the motor... Major ordering backlogs with almost all new outboards! I had my sights set on a Yamaha 25-hp short shaft, tiller-operated outboard due to the high-efficiency motor and great power:weight ratio but it looks like if I order one right now, it'll be a 6 to 9 month lead-time due to major supply chain disruptions. I'll be meeting with my local Yamaha dealer tomorrow to discuss options but at this point it looks like I have two viable routes: order now and wait -or- look for a decent used engine for sale. I do have a 9.9-hp outboard that I could use in the interim if I decide to order a new motor and wait it out, but for the purpose of towing subs I think a 25-hp is necessary. I'll keep you all apprised of progress with the new boat, but wow I am disappointed that so many different things I used to take for granted (that you could just go out and buy) are getting very difficult to find. Not good. ~ Doug S. </div><br><div class="gmail_quote"><div dir="ltr" class="gmail_attr">On Fri, Oct 22, 2021 at 8:52 PM Jon Wallace via Personal_Submersibles <<a href="mailto:personal_submersibles@psubs.org" target="_blank">personal_submersibles@psubs.org</a>> wrote:<br></div><blockquote class="gmail_quote" style="margin:0px 0px 0px 0.8ex;border-left:1px solid rgb(204,204,204);padding-left:1ex"><div><div style="font-family:"times new roman","new york",times,serif;font-size:16px"><div></div>
