However, they are rated for 60amps but the MK101's only pull 40amps at 100% thrust. I agree with Alan's philosophy, purchasing electronics rated higher than their intended use gives you some buffer room that hopefully won't tax the item on it's extreme end. I did the same with my electric welder, purchased a 250amp but have never used more than 125 amps with it.</span></div><div id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1503753221015_15577" dir="ltr"><span><br></span></div><div id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1503753221015_15577" dir="ltr"><span>Jon</span></div><div id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1503753221015_15577" dir="ltr"><span><br></span></div> <div class="qtdSeparateBR" id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1503753221015_15503"><br id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1503753221015_15531"><br></div><div class="yahoo_quoted" id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1503753221015_15499" style="display: block;"> <div style="font-family: times new roman, new york, times, serif; font-size: 16px;" id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1503753221015_15498"> <div style="font-family: HelveticaNeue, Helvetica Neue, Helvetica, Arial, Lucida Grande, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;" id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1503753221015_15497"> <div dir="ltr" id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1503753221015_15502"><font size="2" face="Arial" id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1503753221015_15501"> On Friday, August 25, 2017 7:48 PM, Alan via Personal_Submersibles <personal_submersibles@psubs.org> wrote:<br></font></div> <br><br> <div class="y_msg_container" id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1503753221015_15496"><div id="yiv0299601232"><div id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1503753221015_15495"><div id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1503753221015_15500">They should have DC brushless controllers down to a fine art.</div><div id="yiv0299601232AppleMailSignature">There are so many electric bikes & rickshaws over there.</div><div id="yiv0299601232AppleMailSignature">Also they are so dominant in the electric RC market that requires </div><div id="yiv0299601232AppleMailSignature">reliable DC controllers.</div><div id="yiv0299601232AppleMailSignature">Maybe Hank got some backyard manufacturer using parts from</div><div id="yiv0299601232AppleMailSignature">old TVs.</div><div id="yiv0299601232AppleMailSignature">I was told to over size my controller by about double.</div><div id="yiv0299601232AppleMailSignature">Buy a 3000W controller for a 1500W motor.</div><div id="yiv0299601232AppleMailSignature">Also the manufacturers get nervous when you talk about long</div><div id="yiv0299601232AppleMailSignature">wire runs from your battery bank to controller.
