Any time I cit a bolt down, I put a nut on first to save time fixing the thread. I did not realize you could put it in the lathe. Although you'll be getting into jewelry scale machining at that point, probably not too easy. They have a conical</div><div dir="ltr" id="yiv4201029183m_-5215250485703240755yiv6908166486yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1482974612554_2715">portion at the base of the male thread that makes it impossible to seal</div><div dir="ltr" id="yiv4201029183m_-5215250485703240755yiv6908166486yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1482974612554_2716">with an O-ring. I specified 10mm for thread & shank, but the 3mm extra </div><div dir="ltr" id="yiv4201029183m_-5215250485703240755yiv6908166486yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1482974612554_2766">on the conical portion means the flat faces of the pressure transmitter & </div><div dir="ltr" id="yiv4201029183m_-5215250485703240755yiv6908166486yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1482974612554_2770">regulator can't meet.
