Jerry, I agree with Jim. My first full scale mock up of the hull and consoles, found myself climbing up on my work bench on Sunday evening, the family was upstairs in bed, my cell phone sitting on the work bench. I climbed into the front pilot position, slid down into the seat, and my moment of elation as to how it felt, turned into terror, as I discovered that I could not stand up to get out. Apperently I neglected to measure the distance from hip to knee, to bend and stand up. So using the only tool I could reach, because I was sitting on it was my drill motor. I extracted myself screw by screw until I could stand up. Hence the hatch is now a bigger diameter, the hull is also bigger, and consoles have been redesigned. So I am a firm believer in full scale mockups.

Instead of beginning the build phase with the hull, I
think it makes good sense to first construct all systems and components and
install and test them on a full size mockup. It's almost inevitable that
the process of installing systems will cause you to modify the mockup hull, add
or move penetrations, etc. which is a heck of a lot easier to do than
modifying the real hull or having to accept limitations which could have been
avoided.

Another advantage is that once the hull is fabricated, it can
