Similarly, "Fifth stern float" is just a 1 or a 0 and refers to the sternmost float of all if used, and "Num forward floats" is the number of much smaller floats mounted on the forward half of the boat. The basic idea is that you weigh your passenger and pilot, and pick a combination of floats, weights, and weight tray position that gets you approximately neutral and trimmed.
