Please read entire message.
Registration for PC2026 in Islamorada is now open. It is important that we get a headcount for anyone making the trip to Islamorada so please register online via our website at http://www.psubs.org Just follow the links to PC2026.
DATES
Feb 11-14, 2026 – See web site for schedule
LODGING
Due to peak season high accommodation costs, no designated hotel or group lodging is planned. For this reason, each attendee will need to seek out accommodations that fit their needs and budget. The most cost effective lodging at this time of year will be multiple people sharing an AIRBNB or VRBO rental.
For traffic and travel convenience to events, we recommend you seek lodging no further north than Key Largo and no further south than Marathon.
SUBMARINES
We currently have four submarines attending; VAST, SNOOPY, Shackleton, and Aquatic. If you have a submarine (regardless of condition), we want to see it and welcome you to join us. Please contact admin at psubs.org for details.
SPEAKERS
Our technical session will be Sat Feb 14, 2026. If you would like to make a presentation to the organization either in person or remotely via ZOOM, please contact admin at psubs.org. Whatever you are working on or have expertise in, we want to hear about it.
Our current lineup includes a discussion with the US Coast Guard regarding regulations affecting small manned submarines, a presentation by Aquarius Reef Habitat personnel from Florida International University who will discuss the history and future of the Aquarius underwater habitat; and various presentations by PSUBS members who will share updates on their submarine projects.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
If you are planning to attend in person and have SCUBA or boating experience, we can use your help. Please contact admin at psubs.org for details.
EVENTS
Please note that if you are attending in person this is a free event. However, participation in some segments may require that you contribute to paying some of the costs. For example, we have two diving days planned for Feb 12 and 13, however we may not have enough room in the surface boats for everyone that wants to view the diving. We may be required to rent a boat and split the costs between those that want to view those dives from a surface boat.
DAY 1 - FEB 11, 2026 is an exception and being dedicated to prepping vessels for diving and performing sea trials within a controlled shore based environment. All attendees are welcome to observe and/or help launch and retrieve the vessels. This will be an excellent opportunity to get up close and personal with multiple submarines and see first hand what is involved with operating them.
STAY TUNED for more details as we move closer to the convention dates. Updates will appear on the web site and also communicated via our mailing list and FaceBook page.
