Jon, you could just apply 36V straight to the motor & measure it with a tachometer. They are relatively cheap & handy if you don't have one.

Does anybody know (reliably) what the max RPM is for the Minn-kota 101 at full power?  Trying to dial in my motor controller and there's a parameter for motor max rpm but I haven't been able to find anything online yet regarding that spec.
