Brian,That must have been a treat to get it to fit just right.  Can i make a suggestion?  I can't see inside the hopper, so I can't see if there is extra material around the bolts.  I think you should weld some extra material to the hopper where the bolts go through.  All the load will be on a small area and the bolts could tear out when the sub starts heaving.  Hank
