Subject: [PSUBS-MAILIST] Dome Seat Test
Hi All, On Saturday I tested my dome to a depth of 61M. (200Ft). This was the deepest I could get without going miles out to sea.
This was to test the epdm gasket and O ring seal I had made. Hank spooked me with a story of how a viewport he was testing extruded the epdm gasket at pressure. I wanted to be sure mine was ok.
I made a dish out of the piece left over from cutting the front endcap hole for the dome and cramped it to the dome retaining ring. Put it all in a box and dumped it in the sea.... Pics here. http://www.guernseysubmarine.com/Modifications_files/Page1193.htm Kind RegardsJames
